If there’s one piece thats going to take you through from summer to winter this year, it’s going to be the maxi. Don’t reserve this glam shape solely for your holidays. Rework the floor-sweeper into your winter wardrobe, maxi dresses aren’t just a chic spring staple, oh no. The fash-pack are reworking this feminine shape into their cool winter wardrobes which can only mean one thing, I will be too!!!

From florals to flouncy, sheer fabrics to lace, everything is about the length, skirts and dresses that swish at floor length, sleeves that stretch beyond fingertips and trousers that sweep over shoes.  Where it’s really going to be big is in the evening, so you don’t have to be going to a ball to go long.  Think 70s boho and dress it up accordingly.  It might feel strange popping to your local in your full length skirt or dress but believe me everyone will be doing it!!

I’m going on holiday today!! Whoop Whoop!!!!!  So I will be maxi-ing it up to the max!!

Apologise for the less frequent posts over summer but I’ve been trying to entertain the troops at home and have been anxiously awaiting my eldest son Freddie’s A level results.  I am a very proud mum as he did exceptionally well, and will be heading off to Manchester University in September…… I have very mixed emotions about this, I’m super happy and excited for him but it is tinged with a real sense of loss and sadness.  It feels like the end of a long hot Summer which you never want to end, but end it must, and as I wipe away another tear (there have been many, and many more to come I’m sure) I am left with a real sense of change for everyone.  I am going to try and embrace this change and run with it, my relationship is changing with Freddie from fearless protector to fretful friend.  I know he’ll be fine, it’s me I’m worried about!!

I’m looking forward to this new chapter with my talented, handsome, funny and extremely special son.  Love you Fred’s.  xxxxxxx
